Why Should You Use Fleet Pro?
Business owners need actionable, accessible vehicle and fleet data to make informed business decisions. And while fleet management products exist on the market today, Forcum notes they all perform similar functions.
“We felt like this was an opportunity to build value for our customers,” Forcum says. “Our vision is to build something very unique within the market that really produces high ROI for everyone that's a Fleet Pro customer.”
The three main value propositions for Fleet Pro are:
Eliminate unnecessary expenses
Minimize risk and ensure accountability
Improve driver performance and safety
Eliminate Unnecessary Expenses
By integrating with core ServiceTitan features, Fleet Pro saves users time and money. For example, the product integrates with timesheets. This saves the office time from manually cross-referencing GPS data with timesheets.
“It’s incredibly time-consuming, it's archaic, it's expensive, and more importantly, the entire thing can be automated,” Forcum says.
It also saves money by eliminating over-reported hours.
“We know technicians are not as accurate as they could be when they're entering those timecards on their mobile device,” Forcum says. “But when you compare timesheets with GPS data, it's pretty black and white. The data would tell the story for you.”
The integration uses GPS to identify any timesheet discrepancies, then surfaces them to a manager to review and approve as needed.
“It really streamlines the timesheet editing process,” Arabyan says. “And it maybe saves you a trip to the chiropractor because you no longer have to look back and forth between two screens.”
Minimize Risk and Ensure Accountability
GPS tracking and geofencing helps ensure technician productivity. GPS tracking allows you to detect unauthorized vehicle use, while geofencing alerts you if trucks are being used outside of working hours or at locations unrelated to assigned jobs. Real-time alerts notify you of route deviation via email, text, or in-app notifications.
In the case of accidents, video event capture aids in timely insurance claims and reduces liability. In addition, companies that utilize fleet tracking often receive insurance premium discounts of up to 15%.
Improve Driver Performance and Safety
Fleet Pro includes an AI-powered camera that detects both forward-facing and driver-facing activity, to uncover and reduce unsafe driving behaviors, like smoking or eating while driving.
“The real value here goes beyond watching what the technician is doing,” Forcum says. “The true value with AI cameras that are driver-facing is stopping things before they actually happen. As the camera is detecting these things, there's an audible alert signaling to the driver that they're likely doing something that they shouldn't be doing.”
Driver scorecards track your technicians’ distance, drive time, idle time, and fuel use, as well as behaviors such as speeding, hard braking, and cornering, providing coaching and improvement opportunities for both performance and safety.
Where is Fleet Pro Headed?
With upcoming product updates, ServiceTItan plans to add the following features to Fleet Pro.
Maintenance reminders: Lack of maintenance hurts productivity and affects your bottom line. Fleet Pro will notify technicians when it’s time for maintenance based on your selected preference of mileage, time intervals, or engine runtime.
Map enhancements: ServiceTitan plans to add additional layers of functionality to its maps, such as satellite view and the ability to hover over a car and receive information on that specific vehicle.
Asset management: Placing asset trackers within excavators, backhoes, trailers, or other pieces of equipment to have them show up on the map is in the works, and also the ability to manage the maintenance lifecycle of those tools within Fleet Pro.
Dispatch board integration: When it’s time for maintenance, an integration between Fleet Pro and your dispatch board could automatically flag and add a task to the dispatch board as part of the tech’s day.
Camera live streaming: Provides the ability to live-stream into the vehicle cameras like you would with a home security system.
Titan Intelligence Opportunities
With Titan Intelligence (TI), ServiceTitan envisions an even smarter and more effective Fleet Pro. The four opportunities currently on the radar are:
Comparative reporting: View anonymized fleet data against similar-sized shops to compare safety and performance metrics.
User benchmark settings: Benchmarking will help optimize Fleet Pro settings based on community data. For example, customers might create speeding alerts, then see speeding occurrences drop by 20%. A default setting prompted by that would be to enable speeding alerts.
Fleet Pro ROI dashboard: Display and highlight the value users see from using Fleet Pro.
Timesheets on autopilot: Utilize TI to track all timesheet activity, automatically logging meal breaks, supply runs, etc.
“We are definitely in the early stages with our TI opportunities, but in any case, this is really where we see being very different within the market itself,” Forcum says.
