HVAC Trade Shows and Conventions: Must-Attend Events for 2025

HVAC contractors love learning new things, and this year’s lineup of HVAC trade shows and conventions is sure to heat up the room with new industry trends, technological advancements, and inspiring innovations.

The HVAC industry hosts several annual conferences, expos, and trade shows for air conditioning engineers, HVACR specialists, heat pump contractors, and other HVAC industry professionals to network, gain new skills in education sessions and seminars, earn continuing education units (CEUs), and learn about the latest trends in energy savings and sustainability.

To help you decide which trade shows to attend, we compiled a list of some of the most innovative HVAC trade shows happening across the U.S.

1. Build Expo USA 2025 Shows

Build Expo USA hosts “America's premier regional building and construction events,” featuring accredited classes, industry networking opportunities, and thousands of product and service displays. Six cities are currently scheduled for shows in 2025, but keep an eye on the BuildExpo USA official website for updates and information on upcoming events.

2. 2025 ASHRAE Winter Conference

  • Date: Feb. 8-12; Expo, Feb. 10-12

  • Location: Hilton Orlando, Orlando, Florida

  • Cost: 

    • Advance Pricing (through Jan. 24): $790 for members, $1,090 for nonmembers

    • On-site: $1,090 for members, $1,340 for nonmembers

    • Virtual Only: $500 for members, $550 for nonmembers

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Winter Conference explores HVACR fundamentals, HVACR systems and equipment, connected buildings, cold-climate system designs, IAQ uses and applications, and much more. ASHRAE’s mission is to advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and their allied fields.

3. AHR Expo 2025

  • Date: Feb. 10-12

  • Location: Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida

  • Cost: Free

The International Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Expo, co-sponsored by AHRI, returns as North America's largest HVACR technology industry event. The 2024 event was held in January at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago with thousands of exhibitors and attendees.

4. ACCA 2025 Conference and Expo

  • Date: March 24-27

  • Location: Kalahari Resort, Round Rock, Texas

  • Cost: 

    • Nonmember: $795

    • Gold Member: $445

    • Silver Member: $545

    • Bronze Member: $645

As a leading annual education and networking event for HVACR contractors, ACCA 2025 features successful business owners, entrepreneurs, consultants, and innovators who share their knowledge and expertise on a variety of HVAC topics, such as workforce, leadership, finance, and technical prowess. This year’s keynote presenter is Tommy Mello, founder of A1 Garage, a home service business that’s about to cross the $220M mark in revenue with over 700 employees in 20 states.

5. IIAR 2025 Natural Refrigeration Conference & Heavy Equipment Expo

  • Date: March 2-5

  • Location: Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona

The International Institute of All-Natural Refrigeration’s IIAR 2025 Natural Refrigeration Conference & Heavy Equipment Expo helps industry leaders network with others, gain professional education, expand their knowledge, and learn about the industry’s latest innovations and products.

6. HVAC Excellence National HVACR Education Conference

  • Date: March 16-19

  • Location: South Point Hotel, Las Vegas 

  • Cost: 

    • Through Dec. 31, 2024: $435

    • Jan. 1-Feb. 22: $475

    • After Feb. 23: $550

This year’s conference educates HVAC service providers on the latest trends, like inverter technologies, cold climate heat pumps, and heat recovery systems. The HVAC Excellence Conference also features an expo showcasing the latest HVACR products from industry-leading manufacturers and suppliers.

7. Illinois PHCC Expo North 2025

  • Date: March 21

  • Location: Drury Lane Conference Center, Oakbrook Terrace, IL

  • Cost: Details coming soon.

The Illinois PHCC Expo North gives attendees the chance to see new products and technologies, talk to manufacturers, and network with other HVAC technicians and contractors. A four-hour CEU class will be held on Friday morning for up to 800 attendees.

8. 2025 ASHRAE Annual Conference 

  • Date: June 21-25

  • Location: Sheraton Downtown Phoenix and Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona

The 2025 American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers Conference includes educational tracks for HVACR equipment, industry fundamentals, workforce development, and more. Attendees can be in-person or virtual.
